Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Chia egg (1 tbsp chia seeds, 2 1/2 tbsp water)

  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • about 1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the Warrior Blend Strength Protein, flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Whisk thoroughly until everything is evenly combined and there are no visible clumps.

  1. Make your chia egg and allow it to thicken. Once ready, stir the vanilla extract into the chia egg until fully incorporated.

  1. Add the chia egg and vanilla mixture to the bowl of dry ingredients. Gently stir until the mixture starts to come together. At this stage, the batter will be very thick and somewhat dry; this is expected.

  1. Slowly add water, a little at a time, stirring between additions. Continue adding water until the batter reaches your desired consistency. It should be thick but pourable, similar to traditional pancake batter.

  1. Place a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Allow it to fully warm up and lightly grease if needed.

  1. Pour or spoon the batter onto the heated pan, forming pancakes of your preferred size. Cook until bubbles begin to form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2–3 minutes.

  1. Carefully flip the pancakes and cook the other side for another 1–2 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.

  1. Remove from heat and serve warm with maple syrup or any toppings you like—fruit, nut butter, or yogurt all work great.
