New Year, New Me Smoothie

A new year isn’t about becoming someone else. It is about aligning with yourself. 

 

January has a way of pressuring us into reinvention, as if clarity only comes through extremes. New routines, new rules, new versions of ourselves designed to feel more acceptable, more disciplined, and more “fixed.” But real renewal rarely arrives that way, oftentimes arriving through choices that feel intentional rather than corrective, and through rituals that support who you already are instead of who you think you should be. 

The New Year, New Me Smoothie was created with that philosophy in mind. It is light, refreshing, and thoughtfully composed, balancing bright coconut and lime flavor with plant-based ingredients that support skin, hair, and joint health. Nothing about it is loud or performative. It is nourishment you reach for because it feels good, not because it checks a box. 

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup chilled coconut water 

  • 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk 

  • 1 frozen banana 

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks 

  • Juice of 1/2 lime 

  • 1/2 to 1 cup of ice cubes, as needed 

Garnish 

  • Toasted coconut flakes 

  • A pinch sea salt 

Instructions 

  1. Add all ingredients, including ice, to a high-speed blender. 

  1. Blend until smooth, creamy, and fully emulsified. 

  1. Taste and adjust with additional lime or coconut water, if desired. 

  1. Pour into a chilled glass or bowl. 

  1. Garnish by sprinkling toasted coconut and a pinch of sea salt. 

  1. Serve and enjoy!
