Crispy Potato Bites with Vegan Yogurt Dip

Crispy, savory, and protein-packed—just the way comfort food should be! 

Too often, potatoes get boxed into the role of “just a side dish,” when in fact, they’re the perfect canvas for a meal that goes beyond the sidelines. This crispy potato bites recipe from Lizzie Cawley brings to the mainstage everything we love about potatoes—golden edges, savory centers, and crave-worthy crunch made even more satisfying by a simple, plant-powered protein boost folded right in. 

And because no crispy potato is complete without a dip, we’re pairing them with a creamy vegan yogurt dip that gets its own protein-packed upgrade. The dip complements the crispiness of the potatoes with a nourishing edge. The blending of flavors gives you a food that works with extra staying power, so you wouldn’t have to pick between satisfying or nourishing anymore. 

Ingredients 

  • 24 oz petite yellow potatoes 

  • 1-1.5 tbsp olive oil 

  • salt + pepper 

Protein Coating 

  • 1 tsp garlic powder 

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder 

  • 1/2 tsp paprika 

  • 2-3 tbsp water

Garlic Herb Dip 

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened vegan yogurt 

  • 1 small clove garlic, minced 

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice 

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley 

  • salt + pepper 

Instructions 

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender. 

  1. Drain, transfer to a baking sheet, and gently smash. 

  1. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, and pepper. 

  1. Bake at 425°F for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden and crispy. 

  1. Whisk Warrior Blend Protein Powder with spices and add water until thin and brushable. 

  1. Lightly brush over the potatoes. 

  1. Return to oven for 5-8 minutes until coating sets. 

  1. Make the garlic herb dip by mixing yogurt, Warrior Blend Protein Powder, garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and chill until serving
